Who actually places the implant?
The clinician you meet at the consultation plans the case and places the implant. There is no separate surgical office and no hand-off between planning and placement.
Why do implants fail?
Most failures trace to thin bone, untreated gum disease or a plan that skipped a step. Imaging, grafting where needed and periodontal treatment first are how that risk is managed.
How is the cost decided?
Cost depends on the number of implants, whether grafting is needed and how the tooth is restored. The consultation ends with a written plan so the figure is specific, not a range.
Is this more complex than a regular dentist would suggest?
Often it is simpler. A single implant with healthy bone is routine. Complexity comes from bone loss or gum disease, and the consultation tells you honestly which case you are.
